Dimensions on Contracts
Dimensions on contracts are introduced in version 17.2 of Parrot.
This will affect users who upgrades from a version prior to 17.2 of Parrot.
How it affects upgrades
When you upgrade from a version prior to 17.2 of Parrot, all Dimensions on the linked Customers including Salesperson Code and Responsibility Center will be copied to the Contract Headers and to the Contract Lines. The Dimensions from the linked Items, Resources and G/L Accounts will be copied to the Contract Lines.
Important
As the Dimensions will be copied to the contracts when Parrot is upgraded, it is important to notice that if you change the Default Dimensions on a linked record of a contract, such as a customer, sales person, responsibility center, resource, item or a general ledger account, the contract will not be updated automatically.
Tip
You can use the Update Dimensions action on the Contract Card and Contract List to refresh the copied dimensions. See information on How To Use Dimensions on Contracts.
Note
When the Dimensions are copied to the Contract Header and the Contract Lines, the current set up in the Default Dimension Priorities page, will control which dimension values are set.
Note
The Dimensions on the Contract Header and the Contract Lines will be copied as Dimension Set Entries. Read more about dimensions on Microsoft Learn.
