The documentation on this website is aimed to anyone who wants to know how our apps work, what functionality is available and in what releases it is available.
Tip
We recommend that you use the latest version of the app, to ensure that your installed app from SmartApps has the features listed on this website.

Getting Started
If you are new to an app, you can start with Getting Started, where there are settings and other information for a quick and easy start.
Note
The information is straightforward and does not contain all possible ways of getting started.
Tip
The apps that require more settings and where there are different approaches to get started are supplemented with a How To section.
User Guide
The User Guide lists the most common features in the app but is not described in detail.
Tip
The apps that has a lot of features are supplemented with a How To section where the features and settings are thoroughly described along with tips and notes on best practice.
How To
How To is for those who want to dig a little deeper into how to use or get started with an app. The section contains Tips and Notes on best practice, and how you can get more value from the functionality of the app.
Workflows
The Workflow section provides supplemental content to the other sections such as Getting Started and How To, with illustrations of common workflows within the app.
Tip
Sometimes it can be an advantage to start with the Workflows sections when you start using an app or a feature within an app to get an overview of the processes.
Release Notes
A short description of new releases.
Note
An new release can be of type: Added, Removed, Fixed or Changed.
Prerequisites
Specifies the conditions for being able to use the app.
Developer Guide
Technical information that can be of interest for a developer who extends the functionality of the app
Technical Reference
Technical information about all public objects that can be of interest for a developer who extends the functionality of the app.
Tip
In the technical reference you will find the permission sets available in the app.
Deprecated Features
If an app has deprecated features, they are listed both on a separate page and together with the information about the public objects and web services under Technical Reference.
Note
Deprecated features are functions that are phased out and will be removed in the near future and are specified as Changed in the release notes.

Pages Overview
In Pages Overview you get all the fields and actions specified with the same information as you get when you hover over the fields and actions in Business Central.
Tip
Pages Overview can be very useful when you want to know what the app contains.
Localization Features
This section contains information about features that are specific for a particular localization of the app.
Note
Localization Features is only available for those apps that contain functionality that is specific for a particular localization of the app.
App Dependencies
This section contains information about features in the app that have a dependency on other apps, which means that, in order for the feature to be be available, other app(s) must also be installed.
